Perfectly Luscious Pecan Pie

3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. dark Karo corn syrup
1 c. white sugar
2 T. butter, melted
1 t. vanilla
1 1/2 c. pecan halves
1 unbacked (9″) pastry shell

In a large bowl, stir together the first five ingredients until well blended. Stir in pecan halves. Roll out pastry shell onto a cutting board and flour both sides. Grease pie pan and flour. Discard excess flour. Pour mixture into a pastry shell. Bake in 350 degree oven for 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Let cool.

    Love the recipe cards! Coming from a family where desserts were king and the pecan pie was above all else, I love that you use DARK Karo syrup. Light syrup just doesn’t add the same depth of flavor.

  3. I love those measuring cups! So cute. Pecan pie is my favorite. My husbands family in Missouri makes pecan pie from the pecans that fall from there tree. Such a fall treat.
